Tag Question এর বাংলা শর্টকাট টিপস এন্ড ট্রিকস
Tag Question মূলত দুই প্রকার :
1. Negative Type:
Statement Positive = Tag Negative
Ex. You are intelligent, aren't you?
2. Positive Type:
Statement Negative = Tag Positive
Ex. You are not intelligent, are you?

# Note:
1. Tag এর Negative form সর্বদা সংক্ষিপ্ত রূপে ব্যবহার করতে হবে। যেমন : Do এর Negative form Don't, একে Do Not লেখা যাবে না।
2. Tag এর Subject সর্বদা Pronoun হবে।
3. শেষে প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন দিতে হবে।
4. ছোট হাতের অক্ষরে শুরু করতে হবে।

Note : Statement এ যদি Helping Verb না থাকে, তখন :
V-1 থাকলে ব্যবহার করবো Do
V-2 থাকলে ব্যবহার করবো Did
V-(s/es) থাকলে ব্যবহার করবো Does
***General Rules :
1. আমরা যখন Positive Statement এর Tag করবো, তখন Tag এ Helping Verb এর Negative Form এবং Noun এর Pronoun Form ব্যবহৃত হবে।
যেমন :
A. Zara will read a book, won't she?
B. I am a student, Ain't I?
C. You are a Stranger, aren't you?
2. কোনো বাক্য One দ্বারা শুরু হলে Helping Verb এর Negative form এর পর Tag এর সাবজেক্ট One ই বসবে।
যেমন : One has done it, hasn't one?
3. Complex Sentence এর Tag সবসময় Principle Clause এর সাবজেক্ট অনুযায়ী বসবে।
যেমন :
As you say, you can Change it, can't you?
Note: Clause মানে হচ্ছে কয়েকটি পরষ্পর সম্পর্কযুক্ত word যা একটি parts of speech এর মত কাজ করে।
◾Sub-Ordinate Clause: WH questions, that, in order that, if, as, since, though, although প্রভৃতি শব্দগুলো দিয়ে যে Sentence থাকবে সেটা Sub-Ordinate Clause এবং
◾Principle Clause : উপরোক্ত শব্দগুলো ব্যতীত যে Sentence টি থাকবে সেটা Principle Clause.
4. যে কোনো প্রকার Wish করা হলে Tag Question হবে = don't i?
যেমন : Happy Birthday, don't i?
Goodbye, don't i?
5. Subject ও Verb বিহীন শব্দের সাথে Exclamation Mark (!) থাকলে Tag হবে = isn't it?
যেমন : Wow!, isn't it?
Amazing!, isn't it?
6. Long Live এর পরে সাবজেক্ট থাকলে Tag Question হবে = mayn't+sub
যেমন :
A. Long live your dad, mayn' t he?
B. Long live Bangladesh, mayn't she?
7. প্রবাদ বাক্য হলে Tag Question হবে = isn't it?
যেমন :
A. An empty vessel sounds much, isn't it?
B. A friend in need is a friend indeed, isn't it?
***Imperative Sentence এর Tag Question :
◾চেনার উপায় :
1. Subject থাকে না।
2. Let / Don't / Be /V1 / Never / Always / Kindly / Please ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়।
◾নিয়ম :
1. Let's বা Let us থাকলে Tag Question হবে = shall we?
2. অন্যান্য সকল ক্ষেত্রে Tag Question = will you/won't you?
যেমন :
1. Be Polite, won't you?
2. Please, help me, will you/won't you?
3. Let me do this, will you?
4. Let us go there, shall we?
5. Have your meal, will you?
6. Wash your hand, will you/won't you?
◼ Confusing Arena :
1. কোনো Statement এ Hardly, rarely, scarcely, seldom, few, little, never, nobody, no one, nothing, none ইত্যাদি থাকলে উক্ত Statement টি Negative হবে। এক্ষেত্রে Tag টি Positive হবে।
যেমন :
A. Jamy hardly phones me, does he?
B. I have few friends, have i?
C. Nobody is here, are they?
### Note: Few এবং Little এর আগে যদি A/The থাকে তবে কিন্তু সেটা Negative থাকবে না, Positive হয়ে যাবে।
যেমন : I have a few friends, haven't i?
2. Statement এ যদি as well as, with, together with, along with, accompanied by, and not ইত্যাদি দ্বারা দুটি Subject যুক্ত থাকে, তাহলে ১ম সাবজেক্ট অনুযায়ী Verb বসিয়ে Tag Question করতে হবে।
যেমন :
A. Fardin as well as i is here, isn't he?
B. The man with his friends attacked me, didn't he?
C. I and not you am responsible for this, ain't i?
3. Statement এ যদি :
Negative = Not only - but also, Neither - nor
Positive = Either - or, Whether - or
ইত্যাদি দ্বারা দুটি Subject যুক্ত থাকে, তাহলে ১ম সাবজেক্ট অনুযায়ী Verb বসিয়ে Tag Question করতে হবে।
যেমন :
A. Not only Tamim but also i am here, Am i?
B. Either she or her brothers will come, won't they?
C. Neither i nor you are responsible, are you?
