Sentence Connector Rules for SSC & HSC
পূর্বের Sentence এর সাথে পরের Sentence এর সম্পর্ক স্থাপনকারী শব্দকেই Connector বলে।
Example:
Adeel did not read his lesson carefully when he was in class ten. As a result/Apart from this/Therefore, he failed in SSC.
Sentence Connector এবং Linker কি একই জিনিস?
▪ একটা উদাহরণ এর মাধ্যমে ব্যাপারটা Clear করা যাক :
▫ He is Educated but Impolite.
▫ He is Educated but he is Impolite.
▫ He is Educated. But he is Impolite.
অর্থাৎ,
* বাক্যের মাঝে/ভেতরে বসে সংযোগ স্থাপন করলে সেটা Linker.
* বাক্যের শুরুতে বসে সংযোগ স্থাপন করলে সেটা Connector.
কিন্তু, মনে রাখতে হবে, এমন অনেক Linker আছে যা Connector হিসাবেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : উপরের উদাহরণ এর but.

▫ Now - এখন
▫ On the other hand - অন্যদিকে বা বিপরীত পক্ষে
▫ On the contrary - বিপরীত দিকে
▫ Sometimes - মাঝে মধ্যে বা কখনো কখনো
▫ Actually - প্রকৃতপক্ষে
▫ In order to - উদ্দেশ্যে
▫ Besides - পাশাপাশি
▫ Thus - এইভাবে
▫ As - যেমন
▫ Since - থেকে
▫ Accordingly - অনুসারে
▫ At the same time - একই সময়ে
▫ Undoubtedly - নিঃসন্দেহে
▫ If - যেন
▫ After a while - কিছুক্ষণ পর
▫ Moreover - উপরন্তু
▫ But - কিন্তু
▫ Apart from this - সেটা থেকে পৃথক বা সেই কারণে
▫ Surprisingly - আশ্চর্যজনক ভাবে
▫ So - তাই
▫ Except - ব্যতিত বা ছাড়া
▫ At last - অবশেষে
▫ Not only that - শুধু তাই নয়
▫ In fact - প্রকৃতপক্ষে
▫ For example - উদাহরণস্বরূপ
▫ At present - বর্তমানে
▫ However - যাইহোক
▫ Then - তারপর
▫ Though - যদিও
▫ Finally - অবশেষে বা পরিশেষে
এখন, আমরা জানবো - Connector গুলোর সমার্থক Connector কি কি এবং Sentence এ তাদের অর্থ কি?
❇ Firstly / At First / First of all -
ব্যবহার : কোন কিছুর প্রকার বর্ননায় ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : There are many symptoms of Corona virus. Firstly, neck pain with high fever.
❇ Besides / Apart from this / Not only that -
ব্যবহার : অতিরিক্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য দেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : He lost his Wallet in the Trade Fair. Besides, he lost his Smartphone too.
❇ Moreover / However -
ব্যবহার : অতিরিক্ত তথ্য যা না হলেও চলতো বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : We are fond of Pizza. However, we're satisfied of having Burger.
❇ On the other hand / On the Contrary -
ব্যবহার : বিপরীত পক্ষে বা বিপরীত দিকে বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : Messi scored 3 goals. On the other hand, D' Maria Scored 2 goals.
❇ At the same time / At that time -
ব্যবহার : একই সময়ে অথবা সেই সময়ে বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : I was cleaning my room. At the same time, my younger sister wanted to enter into my room.
❇ In order to -
ব্যবহার : কারণ প্রকাশে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : In order to get a good job, you have to study more.
❇ But / Surprisingly -
ব্যবহার : সম্পূর্ণ বিপরীত ধারণা প্রকাশ করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : I was waiting for a taxi. Surprisingly, i met her again.
❇ Actually / In fact / Indeed / After all / Naturally -
ব্যবহার : এই সবগুলোর অর্থই হচ্ছে - প্রকৃতপক্ষে। প্রকৃত কারণ উৎঘাটনে এগুলো ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : I thought he is a good man. Actually, he is a liar.
❇ Sometimes / Usually -
ব্যবহার : মাঝে মাঝে হয় এমন ঘটনা বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : Sometimes, i wish to watch a horror movie.
❇ Undoubtedly / No doubt -
ব্যবহার : নিশ্চিত করে বলা যায় এমন অর্থ বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : His past and present record is obvious. Undoubtedly, he will become a doctor in future.
❇ Then / After that / Al last / After a while -
ব্যবহার : তারপর কি হয়েছিল এমন কিছুর বর্ননা করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : At first I took a Coffee. After that, i bought an ice-cream.
❇ That is why / For this / For this reason -
ব্যবহার : পূর্বের ঘটনার সাথে পরের ঘটনার সামঞ্জস্য বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : The place was very noisy. That's why, i left the place.
❇ As / Since -
ব্যবহার : কারণ বর্ননার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : As you are capable, you can do this.
❇ Nowadays / Now / At Present -
ব্যবহার : বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি বর্ননায় ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : Nowadays, Corona Virus has become a buzzword.
❇ For Example / For instance / Such as -
ব্যবহার : উদাহরণ বা উপমা দেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : There are many beautiful places in Bangladesh. For example, Coxes Bazar, Kuakata, Sundarban, Jaflong and more.
❇ If / Unless -
ব্যবহার : শর্ত প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : If you workout more, you will become a better gymnast.
❇ Except -
ব্যবহার : ছাড়া বা ব্যতিত অর্থ প্রকাশে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : Except you, all are going better in my life.
❇ Though / Although -
ব্যবহার : যদিও বা তবুও এমন ঘটনা বর্ণনার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : Though he is poor, he is honest.
❇ Accordingly / According to -
ব্যবহার : অনুসারে। কোনো মত অথবা ঘটনার অনুসারে বর্ননা করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : According to the statistics, Messi is the best footballer in the world.
❇ As a result / So / Finally / Therefore / Consequently -
ব্যবহার : পরিশেষে বা ঘটনার পরিসমাপ্তি বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন : Finally, we won the lottery.
